This post shows the locations of fishes and serpents. DO NOT READ if you don't want to know where they are (reposted from Tortuga Nest forum) There are four monsters that frequently give good BP. Best to Worst: 4* Big Fish (Normally 50-2,000 BP...or junk) 4* Bigger Fish (Normally 50-2,000 BP...or junk) 4* Sea Serpent (Est. 100-1500 BP, Harder to kill) 3* Bigger Fish (Normally 50-800 BP. Easy to kill. Can get 2 in one trip) Monsters do NOT always give BP! Sometimes you'll get junk like 2-10 gems. Always send a L4-L5 ship. Recommended crew: 2 brutes w/explore skill. If chasing serpents, instead send 2-3 juggs w/serpent skill. Fill your boat with 80% bucs and 20% gunners. Sending a Witch Doctor will cut your lost troops by 40%. Remember: The number of troops on your ship affects the Suicidal/Dangerous flag. More troops = better chance to win the fight. Each fish first appears in a specific location. When killed, it respawns after you complete your next voyage --usually in its alternate spot, but not always. Tip: To get a fish to respawn, do 2-3 30 second explorations, then return to your town. This will make normal sea monsters respawn (but not holiday quest monsters). 3* and 4* Fish & Serpent Locations ===================================================================== 4* Bigger Fish #1: H3 (moves to L0 and i1) (can give 50-2000 BP) 4* Bigger Fish #2: T24 (moves to X21 and Y19) (can give 50-2000 BP) 4* Bigger Fish #3: i1 (moves to H23) (can give 50-2000 BP) 4* Big Fish #1: W10 (moves to U4 and W0) (can give 50-2000 BP) 4* Big Fish #2: D22 (moves to H23 and A21) (can give 50-2000 BP) 3* Bigger Fish #1: P21 (Moves to D17) (Can give 50-800BP) 3* Bigger Fish #2: T21 (Moves to P21 and ?? ) (Can give 50-800BP) 3* Bigger Fish tip: Sometimes two will spawn south of your island so you can get them with one trip. They are definitely worth hunting., especially for L3-L4 boats which can't reach the 4* monsters 4* Sea Serpents give 50-100k grog and 500-1500+ BP, but they are harder to kill than Fishes, and give BP less often. You need a L4-L5 Boat to stand a chance. 4* Sea Serpent #1: B3 (moves to A1 and C0) 4* Sea Serpent #2: P1 (moves to R0 and W0) 4* Sea Serpent #3: F23 (moves to K24 and A24) 3* Sea Serpent #1: S8 (moves to C11) (Unknown BP Award)
Welcome! I have to give credit to my guildmates at Tortuga Nest. They were a big help in tracking down all those hiding places. If anyone finds any new places, or can help fill in the missing spaces, reply to this thread, and i'll update the chart.
@MaxPlunder Definitely. The Festive Fish Fiasco told us that the map monsters aren't the same for everyone. If you or anyone else is seeing them in different spots, let me know, and i'll be glad to work up an Alternate locations section to the chart.
I'd like to suggest some corrections 4* Bigger Fish #1: H3 (moves to L0 and I1) (can give 50-2000 BP) 4* Bigger Fish #2: T24 (moves to X21 and Y19) (can give 50-2000 BP) There is no 4* Bigger Fish #3 4* Sea Serpent #2: P1 (moves to R0 and "W0 - which crashed with 4* big fish respawn point, and my 4* Big Fish #1 has gone missing") 4* Sea Serpent #3: F23 (moves to K24 and A24)
Thanks for the corrections, and formatting them for me. I will update my post. One thing, though, I'm certain there was a 3rd 4* Bigger Fish at some point (It may be gone now, though). I say that because there are three 4* Serpents, and several people have reported seeing three 4* BFs on the map simultaneously. For now i'm going to leave that entry, if for no other reason than it shows the H23 respawn point, which I've never seen the other fishes use. If it was removed at some point, then based on your corrections, it would appear the two remaining fish are using different respawn point combos for different people. Interesting twist
Holy sh** ! The legend update just killed that tip : battle points are rarer and monsters much more tough !!! And on top of this : legends needs many BP to be bought and evolve !
But ... Hum ... anyway merchant ships and crabs can now give you chests with more or less 150BP inside for few mins of sailing soooooo ... It's a pretty good alternative !
True. If anyone finds great BP on an alternate monster, please post it here in a spoiler tag, and i'll add it to the list.

Thanks kel! Here's a good one: Spoiler: BP giving monster Big Fish, hops between H-0 and J-5 (somehow I bullied it 7 times and it disappeared...? so hit it while it doesn't go migrating)
Thanks, and I'll do some tinkering tomorrow and see if I can confirm the stuff about monsters not respawning like they did before. @Ultimate Sea Dog Can you let me know how much BP you got from that monster?
Sorry to bump this up, but @Kelani I've just found the 5* Bigger Fishes (those that drop Topaz) give a TON of BP! Just got... 2K from it! (Now I'm only 200BP away from AC6)
