I have a cannon lv 5 and a cannon lv 6. Both have a range of 8. My lv 5 has actually less range than my 6 if I look at the red circle when placing it moving cannons around. Do they ACTUALLY both have a range of 8 or is the circle the wrong size? Something is not right and I doubt it is just me. Feel free to give me gems for discovering the bug -helyea
That very well could be. I just looked at the "details" page of both of them in game and they both say 8. There is no mention of +.5 range increase when upgrading. Maybe it is so slight that it was not worth mentioning....? I took pictures but I can't find a way to upload them here. I would need a url link.
A lot of ranges do seem to be .5 off, but I assumed it was because they were calculated as a circle from the center of the defense rather than a squircle* surrounding the square defense. Maybe you're on to something with rounding being to blame instead. *technically a rounded square as the edges wouldn't have any curve, but squircle is a more fun word, like the pokemon of geometry, and close enough an approximation. As for it losing half a range leveling up, I don't have any screenshots to compare them with. Could you post pic comparisons of how far it reaches from both in the same spot? To upload them here, what I do is host them on imgur (you can use any other image sharing site), and then copy the bb code and paste it in a message. It will be [ img ] http :// url . com / alksdjf .png [ /img] like that without the spaces
found a place to upload photos so I could send you a link. you really only need to look at the last 2. The first 2 just show you that the description is exactly the same. and @Bou Regreg where did you see a cannon range having 7.5? is it listed somewhere else? lv 6 cannon says 8 range http://postimg.org/image/olb8y4cu7/ lv 5 cannon showing same range http://postimg.org/image/owspavta7/ lv 6 cannon range circle on map http://postimg.org/image/79awcojcv/ lv 5 cannon range circle on map http://postimg.org/image/nlky2exof/
Yeah the lv 6 does have half a range more, so the theory about it just being rounded up from 7.5 to 8 is probably whats causing it. Interface clarification for .5 range would be nice. I'm sure this happens at other levels as well!.
