Pathfinding bug- Skellies and Gunners

    During this battle the buildings outside the walls were cleared, bombs opened the wall and walked in the base (note the skeleton in Flame gate), at which point Skellies, a Brute and more bombers were sent to head through the same opening...

    The Brute and bombs chose to walk into the base, the Skellies chose to walk around!!
    Gunners and WD were sent...who again choose the way around. The closest targets are INSIDE the walls and the wall has been opened.

    Inevitable death from Ground Pounder. The pathfinding of two of four pirate types is clearly wrong. @Lynsey [Midoki], this looks like something Battle Guy should look at.

    I have had this before too, seems some troops don't like to walk around the edge of the GS.

    Good point, somehow ignored the guild ship component, known for all kinds of trouble.
    Nevertheless, all troops should behave similarly towards any given object.
    Between Battle Guy and Island Design Guy, it should be fixed.

    Frustrating how many ways you can lose a battle due to these little things, even when employing good technique. :(

    Just had the very same thing happen to me.

    I cleared all building around the walls, then made an opening with Bombers, dropped some Skellies & seen they weren't going in.

    They then walked into a Mine.

    Which blew some of them back, those walked in through the opening.

    So I dropped more thinking they would take this new path in. Nope:

    So I eventually had to drop more Bombers & hit Kaboom to make a bigger opening, some of these Skellies seem to be a bit fat, they couldn't fit through the opening the skinny little Bombers got through.:eek:

    Stupid AI like this drives me crazy, first it was the HG, I was forced to stop using those, now my Skellies are becoming just as dumb.

    If you are a good fighter in this game you have to learn all thes inconsistencies and work around them... There are a hundred different issues just like this one... The guildship and boat ai bugs are very annoying.

    They're doing it again.

    Bombers make opening.
