Rapt Renegades - An awesome team of social, competitive players! (PH8/PR400+)

We are still moving upward in our rank pushing effort, but I had to save/share this screenshot of a milestone along the way - leaderboard position number 1,000!

 

A few new members have walked the plank after they didn't respond in chat within a day or two. We don't hold on to people for their rank or to have a fuller guild - active participation is our most important rule. It's not enough to just log in to the game once in a while! 100% of our members chat regularly, contribute to perks (which are never awaiting funding for much more than an instant), donate AND request troops, and help and encourage one another as one fun family. Some are less chatty than others but we all live by this philosophy and seek only other like-minded players! This has truly grown into an awesome team so far and we still have plenty of room for quality additions. We all learn from one another and are becoming better players as a result.

We have also shifted our external chat over from GroupMe to LINE, and this has proven to be a change for the better as our external chat (more social in nature than the in-game chat) is more active than ever.

Rapt Renegades first mate checking in! I joined the guild only a few days ago, and felt immediately welcomed. Higher level members are always offering help to those climbing the ranks. While the captain expects active participation, he rewards it fairly. Guild perks are immediately funded, and people are generous with guild ship donations. And considering we're still a small guild, we're doing pretty well in this week's guild race!

If you wanna be part of an active, supportive, and well-organized guild, this is it folks!

 

We maintain a spreadsheet shared with all guild members to compare our progress to one another and to assist with helping one another out. Here is a partial view of our current spreadsheet to give you an idea of what this guild has to offer. It takes into account the maximum levels for each PH level and makes it clear to each person where they should focus their energies:

Thanks, Familiar to what? I updated it by the way, it now takes PH level into account for the conditional formatting. Was complicated getting all the custom formulas right! But now it's really easy to update and anything in green does not need rechecked. We set PR goals for each PH level as part of this pushing race as well.

 

Our spreadsheet has similar color coding for the conditional formatting. It's a darn handy feature That's cool you're able to keep track of active builders and building levels. We just track PH level and which perks each member has. Where is yours hosted? I like that look better than ours on google docs.

Might break out individual perks later but this was enough for now. Every conditional formatting has a custom formula to take PH level into account and this was enough work for now.

The guild race is complete. Here's how we stacked up!



We started out with the lowest score, and most of our members had never pushed before nor were they well prepared for it. I think we were perhaps the only contestant with PH4 members playing (who all managed to get upgraded to PH5 during the race)! But we all worked together and made tremendous progress all things considered. Although we did not end up very high in the competition and never expected to, we made more growth from beginning to end than any other guild in the competition. As part of our victory celebration, we are increasing our requirements and now require PH5 to join, or special exception if you are close.

We still have a long ways to go to reach the top in future pushes, and we need your help! If you're an active player who loves this game and plays regularly, come join a guild that will help you become the best you can be, and have a lot of fun doing it!

Thanks guys, it's really thanks to all our members. We had a blast with this push, and though a couple of us who chose to participate since the beginning were getting weary by the end of the race, it was a fun time for everyone and I think helped pull us all together as a stronger team. Plus now we have a baseline to exceed next time.

Rapt Renegades is filling up fast! With a lot of new recruits joining us recently, some are rising to the top and some will, unfortunately, not remain after an initial trial period, so we will continue to have room available for some time. PR required to join upped to 200, and new recruits now need to be PH6+, although we will continue to support and help our lower-level members as long as they are active. We would love to find a few more high-level players to join us!

We are now a guild for PH7+ players, and those who are not currently at least building PH7 have been asked to move to a different guild. Since our members were all active and fun players, one of our higher-level players has created his own guild, BarbaryRenegade, where we referred any PH6 and below members, unless they were close to building PH7 and were comfortable maintaining a rank over 200. It should be a nice guild too since it is starting with fine members who started with us, although the spirit there will be more relaxed while Rapt Renegades will be more competitive!

I want to emphasize however that we are not a guild alliance and BarbaryRenegade is under it's own separate management and free to be operated however its captain deems fit. Rapt Renegades is and always will be a lone pirate ship - if you want to join a fleet try the Royal Navy!
