Your ship is dropping pirates. How about having it support the ground troops with cover fire from the water?
Love the ship idea. I just saw that boom beach incorporated a flare that lets you direct where your troops go. Something like that would be excellent. My bombers decided that the builder's hut was way more important than the walls that contain the guns that are mowing them down.
