Can the pirate ship also attack the island?

Like in boom beach boom of supercell,

Can the pirate ship also assist the attack when attacking somebody else's island?
hope it can be anchored near the island and fire cannons at the sides! and this will be really cool to see.

Make one more 'upgrade' procedures for the "pirate ship assist"!

 

It's been mentioned in other posts. I think its in the future, just a matter of priority.

 

As of now the pirate ship does not assist in attacking, only in defending.
