I've seen quite a few repeating layout styles. Certain guilds seem to adopt the same layout for every player there with few alterations. What works for you lately? What reigns supreme? I'm currently sporting a 90 degree angle base that seems to be working well enough (pic to follow).
I prefer a garbled up mess. Wreaks havoc with troop AI. Looks easy to beat but rarely more than 1 starred. Spoiler: Defense Log Screenshots
Quite a bit of gold lost a few times Since I'm on walls and academy upgrades I gotta protects me loot
I call that base design the "wedge" and used it for awhile. It consistently was flattened at 750+ level so I changed. At least I know how to crack them now. It's tough finding a resilient design at super high levels.
Good strategy. Don't like atacking messy bases unless the resources are overflowing. How does that design stand up at higher levels though?
I've been in the 700s and been just fine. A few two star defeats when 6 hgs came to visit. Yeah I don't care about the gold loss. I'm maxed out with full storages. As most do, I use the gold as bait for pr. I imagine I'll get leveled in the 800s. But we'll see!
Whatever I make in gold I spend on walls right now, and I'm spending grog on Academy upgrades pretty quick too Keeps me very resource poor.
