Pirate hall 4. I've fully upgraded my brutes & gunners for my academy level. 3 brutes & 11 gunners. Should I include thieves and what should be the ratio? I've checked their stats and they seem kind of weak.
They are fast and nimble. Go straight for the resources. I like them! Right now I use 6 brutes 6 thieves and 20 gunners. They make sure I get as much resources as possible
Try this: recruit 5 thieves (costs approx 5000 grog and takes approx 5 minutes). When you battle with this team search for islands with distilleries or mines left unprotected, if you're lucky you'll also find an island with storage left unprotected. You only need to plunder more than the five thieves cost, so you don't need much to make a profitable run. The extra bonus is that it makes (or keeps) your PR low. Repeat every five minutes.
