We can do the math (and I of course have) though it would be nice for the screen to explicitly state the EP earned after a voyage has completed. We see EP earned after a sea battle. Why not after sailing for a while?
Supposedly, that's coming soon in the form of being able to buy new maps after you finish the original map.
