We still don't have the inner details on many of the legendaries at this point, so maybe something similar is planned, but it didn't seem too much like it. As an idea for a pirate, a Falconer (well, a parroter, since he's a pirate). What he would do is stand at gunner range, and release parrots to attack the nearest building. Every 3 seconds he would summon another parrot, up to a specified maximum in play at the same time (maybe 3 per). The parrots would do very little damage, and have 1 hp, so cannons and gun towers could destroy them in one hit, but it would be one hit that they have to waste instead of hitting another unit, essentially distracting the defenses. As long as the parrots are alive, he would stand still and only the parrots would move; if a parrot dies, he has to get back in range to summon a new one, and if he dies, all the parrots disappear. The legendary version of him would summon stronger/faster/more birds, and on defensive mode, he would summon parrots that fly within a certain range which the attackers can get distracted with and have to destroy, wasting their shots on the birds. Essentially, hes a tank that is tanking not by absorbing a lot of damage, but by wasting defensive hits. Splash would still effectively kill everything, but it would be interesting to watch a swarm of birds fly in and take the first couple hits off a gun tower or cannon. The tavern limit would have to be controlled of course, but tell me you wouldn't be at least slightly interested in seeing a huge flock of birds swarming around a gun tower with it trying to pick them off helplessly as your troops beat it down.
