We need the guild suggestions to only show guilds with a recently-active captain. Since the game suggests an array of completely dead guilds, most players don't end up finding an active guild and end up quitting. This is a serious problem for the game and I cannot believe it is outstanding still when it is so easy to fix (server-side query adjustment, wouldn't even need a game update). IMHO, the suggested guilds should be limited to ones with at least 50% of members active in last 3 days Then order guilds by captain last online time putting currently-online captains at the top of the list, so then when a player joins a new guild, the captain is likely still online to welcome them and introduce the guild.
It's definitely on our to-do list, along with improving the search functionality (initially with active guilds at the top, but later to include the ability to filter via size of guild, date created, language spoken, etc).
Ooh! Does this mean we're be able to check a box that says what language we speak and free up that bit in our guild description window
That's the plan (note: the only languages that will be supported by this feature are the ones that are already supported in-game - English, Italian, Russian, Korean, French, Spanish, Simplified and Traditonal Chinese, Portuguese, German and Japanese).
