Not everybody can be online when it's time to fund a perk. Allow members to pY in advance so that they can still be in good standing with their guild.

Would this be like a guild bank? deposit gold or grog toward the perk, then the perk is funded from bank funds first? Leaving the rest to be funded normally?

Chris has said no to this in the past because the perks cannot be constantly funded. That being said, I'd be happy to see a bank where the funds would be readily available :)

    Yeah.
And make it so only the captain can access bank funds. And only to fund perks.

  5. and, naturally, track who has deposited and how much.

I think first mates should also have access, Captains need support )

Maybe first mates could have access once the quarter master rank is implemented. But as is I'd say no to first mates.

I get the idea, but that would also make funding as it is kind of useless. A few rich or semi-rich players could easily donate millions of resources to keep the perks active for weeks or months. But I don't know, maybe that's not actually a problem and this could work really well. :)
