Guild chat dropping lots of messages today

My guild members have been reporting that the dropped chat message problem has been extremely bad since last night's maintenance. Players from four continents are losing (on average) 20-40% of their messages. Personally, I'm seeing around 25%. This is not the old bug where your messages aren't visible to you until you swipe out of the app and return, these messages are actually being lost; neither sender nor other chat participants ever see them.

This issue is also affecting kick messages and requests to join. I've had one of each dropped in the last hour.
