Guild chat spam

We "appear" to have a former guild member spamming our chat. How is that even possible. They don't show on our roster and yet are posting on chat

Could someone in the guild be changing their name and posting their name?

 

That's the first thing I thought, but the roster has remained unchanged.

 

Maybe they joined just to spam and then quickly left

 

But even if they joined quickly and left you would still see their name appear as joining and then leaving the guild. this sounds very strange.

 

Couldn't be. We are invite only and they had recently been ...uninvited

 

Just like on True Blood

 

Sounds like a job for Sir Bugsalot

 

Looks like this was a short term thing, but the potential downside could be, for lack of a better word, bad.
