Ahoy Captains! We see you have all been busy building some terrific pirate islands and so we thought we would give an award to our favourite one so far. This week's award goes to... 'Wynn'! Congrats, fellow captain! Some gems are sailing your way to celebrate like a proper pirate. Keep an eye out for more awards over the coming weeks. Plunder away!
Picture looks great in a screenshot but no surprise with the winner there it's ridiculous how much they have already!
Shadows are something we're currently working on for the future. The code is by no means finalised but it's something we'd definitely like to include. It's great to hear you like the look of them!
The graphics are amazing, when I play a lot of other games now they look like nothing compared to this. The more touches you can add to it and things like shadows can only make amazing graphics even better.
In our semi regular feature it's time to take a look at another stand out island. With so many to choose from it's becoming a hard task, but we thought TimBass 131314 demonstrated a good use of defences as well as an unconventional layout. Some congratulatory gems are on their way! Check it out for yourselves by visiting his island from the in game Leaderboard.
screen shots look amazing i think this game should go really well are there release dates for other countries yet ?
We're looking to get a global release out this month, so not long now everyone These cameras are something we're experimenting with and you can see them in action over on the Plunder Pirates YouTube channel. www.youtube.com/user/plunderpirates
Hey Chris, how likely is it that we could customize more things in our towns. Like could we control the pirates walking around. I know it would be difficult but like alternate skins on buildings would be cool too.
Problem is with changing the skins on buildings, someone attacking your island wouldn't know what was what. Now that might be seen as a good thing for the person under attack, but it wouldn't be very fair
Holy crap! With shadows added it looks stunning! I really hope you add this soon. Do I see some depth of field and bloom effects too? In the first picture that is.
Must be more a hardware issue since I have no shadows in my iPad 3 with iOS 8. EDIT: Yup, you need an A7 processor or better on your device. That means iPhone 5S, iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina display, at least.
hmm.. I have the regular iPad mini. I think I will be buying a new iPad then since this ''metal'' does some awesome 3D graphics. Go to 51min and look at the graphics, its sick! at least for an iPad or iPhone game
Jorå, I remember it, just didn't remember the specs required. There's also rumors that Metal is gonna be a feature in the next Apple TV hardware, whenever that will be released. Can you imagine the possibilities of "Airplayed" games with Metal?
