Longer transition time between night and day

Shadows look great, but the transition between night and day happens too quick to enjoy them. I'd like the "sun" light source to have a rising and setting. Just have it move at a set pace that keeps the days the same length they already are.

It would shorten true night a bit. Since a few minutes of every night would have partial light from a rising or setting sun. Plus it would make the shadows more dynamic and enjoyable.

 

I second this sentiment. I really enjoy the sunrise/sunset too

 

If I can't be rid of night altogether, at least give me sunrise and sunset.

 

It's not really accurate, but I'd like to see it like this: Each Day/Night cycle lasts 3 hours.

1 Hour Day
30 mins twilight
1 hour Night
30 mins dawn
That'd give more time to enjoy the pretty colors.

Oh, and an option to disable, cos unless snowless night makes it much easier to see, I'm still not a fan of night raiding

Yep, I think Day/Night is here to stay. Don't worry, I requested longer times between them, and unless they can make Night mode visible so we can see what we're doing, shorten it lots.

 

How about a fall season, with all pretty leaves falling. Sounds so pretty, but probably would make us blind.
