hi, Chris I know that metal makes the graphics better, but what does it actually do and how does it work?
To put it simply Metal gives us a boost on top end devices. We get a more direct access to the hardware and that in turn allows us to process everything in the game quicker; AI, visuals, gameplay, all quicker. Some of this you can see on the screen, the inclusion of shadows for example, and some is more hidden away behind the scenes.
