Name our ships ability?

I was hoping a feature could be added that would allow us to name our ships.

 

good idea! never thought of that. Mine would be named Jackdaw obviously

 

Would this be a vanity ability? who could see it? how could they see it if they are able to? My ship would be "The Sea Den"
