I have a 35 slot tavern. Maxed Bucs for a L 2 Academy. For Gunners, the lack a Attack boost, that's all.
My advice to new players. Save all of the most valuable strongholds until you really need those resources to advance. Those bases are easier to defeat when you are stronger and you will need those big value resources to for expensive upgrades like PH7-8. The small value strongholds you can destroy anytime they don't help much.
Exactly what Tex said. Don't even bother with the big money strongholds until later on. It'll save you time and grog
