Pirates dies to easy

It seems like after the recent update my pirates die to easy when i do a plunder. It's like they never been trained in the academy. Their toughness level is not accurate. I asked in my guild if it was the same for them and they experienced the same thing.

Midoki has stated that no stats were changed for pirates

 

But, defenses where boosted. So.. Pirates don't die faster, the defenses die less faster
