Plunder Parrots and other pets

I would like to see the more parrots and maybe other pets in the game.

Apart from making the base island look more interesting, I can imagine uses for parrots, monkeys etc such as helping to distract defences in an attack or acting as scouts in on the exploration map.

Also, on a seperate but related point, why are there no fish and other sea denizens in the seas on the base island? I'd be amsued to see the pirates on my home base swimming like mad to get away from a shark, jellyfish or manta.

 

I love animals so this is a nice idea. I would be happy if we just got a npc monkey running around throwing coconuts or something. My favorite idea is the already mentioned shark trap! A shark chained to the ocean floor that attacks unsuspecting enemy pirates swimming to the shore.
