This is very similar to "save island design" but with a bit of new focus on the legendary pirates. Since Legendaries are probably intended to be a key element of defense, but the ways you design your base for each legendary might be radically different (island wide buffs vs ranged buffs, which things are being buffed will make an extreme impact on how you're laying things out). The idea is this: allow you to assign a design to each obtained legendary. And when you switch active legendary, it automatically switches to the design assigned to that pirate. Then you can have a design tied to boosting mortars near the fort for cornelius, that protects the fort much better, a design that takes advantage of the wall hp that boomer gives, a design that focuses on protecting the cannons so they can get more shots off when Mack is boosting them, etc. And you don't have to relayout your island every single time you swap pirates. It would take a bit of thought on how to cleanly do this, maybe with a feature to copy designs between not having an active pirate and the selected active, or between actives, just to help give yourself a starting place when using a new one. But with a bit of work, it would vastly improve the experience of the game.
LIKE. Maybe that'll take Midoki 5 months... and meanwhile, there will be things like attack buttons disappearing, no log book, etc, etc
I think it would be better to just have slots in the editor with different versions and just manually change them to fit the LP
The idea is awesome @Skye But we've been asking Midoki for a "save" feature since the editor came out. Don't hold your breath.
