Disclaimer: I'm still butt-hurt about the death of streaking. How about a new tab on the Trader that sells materials, similar to the Trader from Boom Beach? The trader can randomly sell 5-6 materials that cost gold or grog. Fine, add in one that takes gems. There would be a limited amount available, just like the Boom Beach trader. That prevents someone from going crazy. They listened to their players who complained about useless resources and it has been well received. Perhaps you'll consider this idea?
And get with the daily reward perhaps a ticket which gives us the possibility to get(freebees) with them materials too. 3 tickets and you get random amount of different materials, sometimes 2 different and sometimes 5 ?
Has been suggested in the past and always has my support; to make it lucrative to Midoki a cost to Trade (payment in Gems) at a % value of items being traded. This reduces the risk of those with multiple accounts trading with their own accounts. Also, made part of the members profile so Captains can see their trading practices when they request to join. Similar to Guild ship stats.
