I don't know if it's related to the server issues or not but the UI often freezes. For example I can still rotate the camera and click on recruit, the recruit screen comes up but then I can't do anything with it but close the dialog - the pirate is spinning but clicking anywhere doesn't do anything. And it takes 3 or 4 clicks on the X to dismiss the screen. I've had this happen even with the market button on the left on the main screen. No matter where I tap I just can't seem to click on it. IPhone 6 so it's certainly not the processor speed, and my internet connection is fine.
Thanks for letting us know about this issue. It's definitely new and not something we have witnessed. It could well be to do with the server connection issues, as the game is constantly sending information back and forth to the server, but we will certainly investigate.
