Vault

So after those 11 attacks and losing 69k gold and 20k grog but not getting a shield because I technically won as they didn't destroy enough base I was just wondering if you have considered adding a vault?

Boom Beach has a vault that is a building you can upgrade which protects resources from being raided, obviously not all of them but still it is good to be able to do so. I think usually it's a certain amount per upgrade plus a percentage that increases as it upgrades.

So maybe something like a hidden cove, buried treasure not really sure what you'd call it. But battling is fun and of course you expect to be attacked back but there needs to be some protection from say someone just dumping loads of pirates that go for loot and stealing everything but then you getting no shield because they don't destroy enough of your base, which means they can just come back repeatedly. My 11 attacks were in the space of 2 hours really.

Good to hear, I keep trying to save up for buildings costing 500k and much more and constantly raided by the top 10 which makes it hard to save and things will only get more expensive.

 

Must say I like the vault idea too, but it depends a bit on how big hits you can take. I only got hit once so far, and while it was annoying and I lost quite some resources for my base size (I felt) it was ok. The loss also keeps up the incentive to balance your game between offense and defense ...

 

I like the idea of a cave/buried stash. Maybe, for fairness, you could introduce a new pirate (or pet sniffer dog maybe) that has a one in ten chance of finding the hidden stash as well?

 

I know this has been requested before as "buried treasure". I'm a big fan of this, it would help alleviate the pains new users feel and also peeps at the top struggling to maintain grog while battling. Let's do it.
