I have never played CoC so I don't know how the village edit mode works in that game. However, I would love to have a inventory to store everything I don't use, and a "store all" button similar to the one in Simpsons Tapped Out that automatically stores everything in the island so we can start with the rebuilding immediately.
In coc there is a remove all button. An erase mode where everything you click is removed. And you can click on individual buildings and remove them. All removed buildings are on a sliding bar at the bottom of the screen for easy access. And it's just drag and drop. Walls you can drop one wall. Then keep expanding it by clicking either 1 or 2 spaces to be added. Or you can drag a line and drop a whole row of walls.
So apparently a Wall Edit Mode will reach the game soon Thanks, Chris! However in addition to that, I'd like to see two more edit features to help make island rearrangement much more versatile and convenient: (1) Allow players to highlight any part of their island(s), and perform actions such as move or rotate the highlighted part; (2) Allow players to pick any structures on their island and "remove them from Home Island view". When players need to add those structures back, they can go to their Market menu, select their desired buildings, and then re-place their buildings as they like on the Home Island. Obviously since they already built those buildings, adding those buildings back to Home Island should be instantaneous and cost zero gold/grog. Thanks Bear, you explained my second point above much more clearly.
It appears that the edit mode will come in pieces. I imagine that this is in attempt to weed out glitches easier. Either that or it's because it would take too long to get it to us as one big update.
