Can please lower down the BP cost for upgrading a bit?

Fair enough. I wish I'd gotten some hard numbers on this from others. I have my data, so if there's anyone out there who's planning to do a lot of 4* fishing, and has been having a really hard time getting BP from them (and wants to bother recording these silly things), let me know.

# of fishing trips per day (gotta be 1 or 2)
Total # of fishing trips over 7-30 days
# of each 4* Fish type (Big/Bigger) killed
Rewards given for each fish

 

I would say it is an issue.

Simply because of the ill feeling it can generate within a guild and the demoralisation that can come from reporting 2k BP rewards from 4 star fish, while others are hitting the same fish and only getting 150 BP.

Also the spawn rate of 4 star fishes seems to differ too. I went through a period (two weeks) of having 2 x 4 star fish on my map constantly, where others (who had the same explore %) had one 4 star fish every two days.

All this on a 5S with the same ios version. So it doesn't really seem to be device specific either.
