Lousy christmas light graphics

really? REALLY??? These are just awful spots of solid color and look just awful. Can something be done about that?

It's ok if u like the day and night graphichs....but what if u don't...

There should be a on/off button...like Halloween...isn't that fair enough

 

The graphics are otherwise great, but the flashing lights? Just solid blocks of color that really distract from the otherwise nice graphics. The more you zoom in the worse it gets.

 

I'm referring to the blinking lights on trees, town hall and tavern btw. And yes, "awful" is a perfectly suited word I think. The ones on the opening screen ship graphic are MUCH better.

 

I hope it will be ad adjusted very soon to our eyes...unfortunately

But they just released one of the best updates so far, imo. I don't see what you see. I think they made it perfect…

 

Zoom in on a tree, town hall, or tavern. The color changing lights are not graphics at all but just solid blocks of color with sharp edges, not even round.

 

How old is your iPad? Looks fantastic on a retina display.... best looking game out there. You won't find a game with better graphics than this for iOS.

Dude they'll be gone in a month, really not a big deal.

 

No, not a big deal, but they do really distract and I think would be simple to fix. There are other posts here saying that the gold in the treasure chests isn't "3D enough" so I really don't think this is too much to point out.

One of the things we love about this game are the awesome graphics, but these lights...aren't.

 

Fair enough. But that's also a silly complaint. Have we really become this spoiled?

 

Meh. I like them just fine. Make them too small and they won't look right at all.

 

The light models are just tessellated spheres. Probably an icosahedron or something. It would be a waste to make them higher resolution since 99% of the time as you play they're just a couple dozen pixels big. They could have made them particles I guess. But who's to say that in pirate land the christmas lights might be actual icosahedrons?
