Serious bug ! Thief's invisibility duration

Freut mich zu hören, dass das Problem mit dem Bug Geschichte ist. Es war nicht meine Absicht irgendwem Schaden zuzufügen. Wie gesagt, einem Mitglied ist dieser bug widerfahren und wir haben nur geschaut wie es dazu kam.

I discovered this by having it happen to me by the way, but unlike my attacker I reported it. Heaps of people were using it, I figured it would last an hour, but we got a bit more fun than that, I miss it already. And for the record I didn't target RFF, go ask the other top guilds I hit everyone in that high range that wasnt in shield.

It was real simple:
* Deploy a bunch of thieves from your own ship.
* Deploy one thief (or more) from the guild ship.
* Press the GS ability button.

That's all.

As it has been said here, Resarf fell victim to this attack, and since the guild ship is plagued with bugs, played around with it until he figured it out, and then reported immediately. Midoki's stance was that this is not a hack and nobody would be banned for using it, and that it would be patched in an immanent maintenance. So Resarf had some fun using it for a while, and others of us did as well to a lesser degree - maybe not the most mature or "right" decision but it was not with any ill intent for anyone. If it weren't for him, you guys would probably still be getting attacked with this. So instead of blaming, I think we should have a little gratitude.

 

I would have reported it immediately... (after completely maxing my level 11 walls)

 

It's good to know this is a bug instead of a hack.

Originally, I thought "resart" found a magical way to increase his ranking

I miss my thieves' 'hide' ability. hope it comes back soon. 'berserk' doesn't let them do their work as effectively. they're killed off way too quickly.

 

Yes no need to EARN PR fair. Just exploit a known bug to get to the top. Sad.

That was early.... Much higher after that before he "reported" the bug 6 hours after being called out on the forum.

Nope, he was already in touch with Midoki about the bug before even figuring out how to reproduce it, and the initial reporting was direct, not a public post. Best not to make negative assumptions when you lack the details...

 

Soooooo reporting it was good. Using it and exploiting the bug AFTER reporting. It.......Well depends who you are but in MY opinion not such a good thing. But to each his own

 

I'm not sure what to think of all this, let me go check my Plunder Pirates spreadsheet...oh wait, I have a life so no spreadsheet...oh well maybe next time
