That's what I did, I just said in the post you quoted "they never give anything but Battered Chest".

 

Wow!! I've never even got half of that in a chest.

 

The max star Kraken that supposedly pays out Masks, but actually NEVER pays out Masks.


Yep, here's what it does pay out:

Total crap. Being Mask hunting for days now without getting sod all, I have no idea how Midoki expects us to do the higher levels when I can't get enough for lvl5.

 

I have been having decent luck just making short 3-4 hour trips mixed in with a long sail over night. So far I have managed to get all four of my legendary pirates to level 7 to 5. Not bad for them only being released for a short period of time.

But I agree the long voyages against 5 star critters is fustrating. It seems the weak 2-3 star monsters give just as good drops as the 5 star ones. All about running the most attacks.

 

Ouch! for ME The Ghost Ship payout is...

WAAY too good.

Got 4 citrine from one...wish I could trade it for copper

 

But HOW DA HELL do I get the Anna lady to L4??

NOOOO... got lost at sea... and 7 hours sailing gave me nothing...?

 

I've been saving all of my chests lately, I'm up to 40 something battered chests stockpiled. I'm gonna go for 100 and open all at once and then break down all the loot I get from them, so maybe we can get some baseline percentage of each type of drop. Also, if they ever increase materials from chests, I'm going to be way ahead

 

It's no wonder you're not annoyed, start opening them & see how long you can hold a smile on your face. Payouts are beyond a joke, laughable, all I do now is laugh, I've lost all interest in upgrading my LP, I've been stuck on 4 Masks now for 5 days, they just WILL NOT give me any, it's funny at this stage. Midoki are a bunch of complete morons, idiots.

I love the direction this thread has taken, it's gone from best Chest loot to worst Chest loot haha, I suppose it's because there IS NO good Chest loot haha, I've been stuck on 4 Masks for over 5 days now, I can't even get enough for lvl5, lvl20 will be funny haha. I've stopped caring about upgrading them now, no point in getting annoyed.

 

I'm managing to upgrade my pirates just fine with normal material drops. I'm also annoyed with the chest payouts, which is why I haven't been opening them. I also have already made a suggestions thread asking for at least one drop to always be a material. My 300 gem chest had not a single material in it.

But it doesn't make me mad because even without chests I get plenty of materials.
