New ship has arrived - with the very same pirates again :(((

Ok I think what we all need to do is just chill, up to a few days ago I was annoyed as hell too. But since I actually thought about what I was doing, I've calmed down. It's just a game & it's still better than anything else out there. Yes it's annoying that we didn't get Ching, but we'll get her next week, it's not the end of the world, we won't really be left behind as we'll get her upgraded to the same level as everyone else really quickly, as others will slow down as the reach the upper levels & we'll catch up, as we are all stocking up on her items.
What they've done is just a smart way to slow us down a bit, as most are maxing their bases very quickly, I don't mind any longer out bad map payouts & the prices of upgrades, it's something for me to do, & keep me busy playing.
So everyone calm down, so we have to wait a week, did you guys see her base level? It sucks, I won't be using her for a while anyway & all the others will run out of items once they reach level 5 & we'll catch up. So don't be stressing.

There's no guarantee that Ching Shih will be available next week. There are people who still don't have Blackbeard.

This is week 5 and Blackbeard was not the fixed pirate, Mack is.

If they don't make Ching Shih the fixed pirate then you have a either a 50% or 33% chance of recruiting her depending on how many random pirates are released next week.

Plus, there's no guarantee that she will be one of the random pirates available next week. This lottery system is an über fail!

 

Actually I didn't get her and I'm okay with it. I will upgrade Mack and Annabelle (if I ever get masks ) and save Chings materials anyway.

Sorry Midoki but I really think you should have just given Ching for your birthday or at least Blackbeard

 

The thing is. They could easily send out a special boat on Monday with ching and blackbeard in it. Solve a lot of frustration.

 

Everything you said before and after that was well said. I have a maxed base and didn't gem like crazy. I do gem, but not like crazy.

I'm pissed, this game is already getting to the point of unplayable passed 500 pr (and that is low). There isn't much grog up here to support our armies even after searching for 10 or more minutes. Sure, every once in a while there is, but I am constantly taking loss after loss. But, that is for another topic.

The AI is incredibly stupid. Can't rely on any pirate to do what you expect, I'm really looking at you bombers and WD. But, that frustration is also for another topic.

Back to the topic- I am having the shittiest time trying to get the items needed for LP upgrades even when hitting 6-7 obstacles to get to that 5 star, that I find myself hoarding certain items and not upgrading the LPs I see as useless. Now we have this shit with getting the same LPs over and over again is most likely going to kill this game for me. If I wanted to play games with luck, I'd play one of those casino apps and lounge by the pool.

Who thought this would be a great idea to screw over the fanbase? It's rhetorical, don't bother answering.

Midoki, I have to hand it to you though, you had created a great game that was once fun and enjoyable. A game so fun that I created a forum account. A game so fun that after a raid, instead of logging off, I'd chat with the guild mates. And, it seems that replays are the most accurate that they will ever be, thanks.

I've never been over ~350PR. I'd assume people that advanced would be hording tons of resources as upgrades are running out. What's the cause for the resource shortage? I've heard that point many times, so I'm not questioning that it exists.

Once you climb past 450 bp, grog becomes very difficult to find and without grog you can't recruit pirates or upgrade LPs.

 

Did anyone get Ching Shih who already had Blackbeard?

 

I've already been complaining all day.

I'm not going to purchase anymore gems until they stop sending me the same LPs week after week.

The random luck aspect that they've implemented for recruiting LPs, by statistical necessity, must reward some while punishing others. And THAT is the problem.

Implementing a system that will punish some players is utterly foolish since some of the people being punished are the most loyal players and fans of the game.

I know that Midoki didn't make the decision to personally screw me over, but it sure feels like it.

The worst part is that I have no idea how long I have to wait until I'm able to collect all of the LPs. I might get the missing LP next week but then again I might have to wait until Christmas. I'm frustrated and I don't play games to feel frustrated.

 

I don't want to detract from this thread but here are a few reason why I think its this way.
- People that are getting close to being able to upgrade stay online or gem till they can spend it.
- People that log on and off just to raid lose their gains shortly after logging off.
- Pirates cost 350-500k easily, and those are the pirates needed to crack the higher level bases.
- part B to that, it takes forever with that cost to upgrade with such minimal gains.

Theres more, but that gives you a little insight.

 

And higher level players working on crazy expensive upgrades drop to low levels for easy loot and fall out of matchmaking range for high ranked pirates.

Yeah. Blackbeard as opined pirate with a 50% chance to get ching this week. And then next week make ching the fixed pirate. That would have given everyone a chance to get all the pirates.

 

Yes and most likely BB will be the fixed pirate next week. Not Ching.
